Services:
Your school, organization and learners are one of a kind . Your experience with DisruptEd should be the same. Explore the following to learn more about what will be included in our work together.
-
Instructional Design
There are many instructional design and motivational theories and processes, including ADDIE, Rapid Prototyping, and Self Determination Theory. We will ensure that your project aligns to the most appropriate theory using science-based principles.
-
Project Management
We will guide and support you through the entire design process. Our experience with project management will help ensure that your project stays on time and within budget. Together, we will develop a consistent communication plan and create checkpoints to ensure your satisfaction with the project.
-
Collaboration
We firmly believe we are better together. Throughout the development process, we will collaborate with leaders, learners, and subject matter experts to maximize the learning experiences for your learners.
-
Analysis
The analysis step is arguably the most important step of the design process. We will work with your leaders and learners to determine the gaps in knowledge and skills to ensure that the course will deliver the desired outcomes.
-
Empathy Meetings
As part of the analysis process, we will conduct empathy meetings with learners to gain insight into their needs and desires. This helps ensure that the final project is centered around your learners.
-
Brainstorming
This is where DisruptEd shines. Working together, we can find ways to push the limits and shake up the status quo. We will use a variety of exercises to get creative and think outside the box, including tools from Big Little Breakthroughs (Linker, 2021).
-
Technology
It seems like there are an infinite number of educational technology tools on the market and it can feel overwhelming to figure out which ones to use for your project. We will work together to integrate the most appropriate new and existing technologies into your project. These can include 360 images, 3D images, websites, collaborative tools, and virtual reality.
-
Interactions
Based on your budget and the scope of the project, your project can include animations and interactions to enhance the learner experience and maximize outcomes. Examples of interactions include sliders, dials, text input, branching scenarios and simulations.
-
Personalization
Studies show that learning increases when learners have choices and internal motivation. Using voice and choice, learner names, avatars, and other inputs, learners feel connected to the material and can understand the value and real-world application of the content.
-
Video Editing
Videos can help learners relate to and visualize content more effectively than pictures or text alone. The use of videos has been shown to help with processing and recall of information. I have experience with scripting, recording, and editing videos and can incorporate new and existing videos into your project.
-
Graphic Design
The right graphic design can bring everything together in your project. I can use your logo, color scheme, and other existing graphics in addition to creating custom graphics to help your learners connect with and visualize the content.
-
Data & Evaluation
It is vital that we evaluate and use data to quantify outcomes. Depending on the budget and scope of the project, we will use xAPI and custom reporting to evaluate the outcomes that matter to you. Examples of data include learner choices and answers, text input, question attempts, and time spent on interactions.
