What’s in a Shadow?

Overview: This 15 minute eLearning module helps students explore what’s needed to make a shadow and how shadows change. After learning, students can experiment with how they can tell the time with shadows from the sun.

Goal: The goal is to help students identify how shadows change due to changes in the light. They will also be working on observation and note-taking skills throughout the module.

Tools Used: Storyline 360, Canva

Learning Extension: Have students choose an object and trace it’s shadow at different times of the day to experience the changes.
